Jussie Smollett Let Off with No Charges (It's a Great Day to Get MAD!)
Between ‘no collusion’, the arrest of Lawyer Michael Avenatti, and another case of ‘privilege’ proving itself more important than facts or responsibility, today is yet another great day to–say it with me!–today is a great day to get MAD!

Despite a grand jury issuing 16 counts of disorderly conduct related to allegedly staging a hate-crime to boost his career, Empire actor Jussie Smollett has seen his charges dropped, and his case totally shut. More strangely, the reasoning behind the act on the part of Cook County prosecutors is based on two facts: that Smollett did community service for two days this past weekend of his own accord (meaning: it had no relation to his charges), and that he give his $10,000 bond to the city (which is usually given back once the defendant has shown up in all of her required court appearances), despite his crime costing the city considerably more than that.
Chicago police is not happy about it, and neither is Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel. “Where is the accountability in the system?” he asked earlier today in a press conference amidst quite the tirade. “You cannot have, because of a person’s position, one set of rules apply to them and another set of rules apply to everybody else.” Police superintendent Eddie Johnson, who notably had quite the choice words for Mr. Smollett when the charges were first filed about a month ago, further said today: “I’ve heard that they wanted their day in court with TV cameras so America could know the truth. And now they chose to hide behind secrecy and broker a deal to circumvent the judicial system.”
Despite all apparent evidence, Smollett has maintained his innocence and has insisted on the truth of his story, begging the question of what will become of the two men he hired to pretend to attack him, but that’s of no concern here…
We have some voices to raise (!).
Those CRAZY conservatives are LOSING their minds over the fact that a poor, gay, black man (emphasis on the poor) was FRAMED! But, meanwhile, liberals refuse to accept the fact that Donald Trump is current president of the United States (I know it’s tough, but it’s been over two years– no matter what the further details of the Mueller may be: he exonerated Trump of collusion, and if you’re going to continue to fight that fight in such violent and ignorant ways, at this point: you’re no better than the southern racist of 1859 screaming over God-knows-what cause he’s so drunk on himself he can’t possibly be understood by any rational person), and have apparently been getting played by an experienced hustler since summer 2016–
Michael Avenatti once touted a 2020 presidential bid, back when he appeared on MSNBC and CNN 108 times between 3/7/18-5/11/18 and before he was arrested on domestic abuse charges. The former hero of liberalism has made a fortune capitalizing on the ridiculousness and the gullibility of our modern media landscape and the average American’s inability to get the fuck past politics for a goddamned second (MORONS!). The guy who once boasted a fetish for handcuffs to the women of the View on live TV (it’s just ironic is all) once again found himself in them yesterday when he was arrested for allegedly attempting to extort Nike for several million dollars. They called it ‘straightforward… extortion’. They apparently have a recording, and Stormy Daniels, one of Avenatti’s most famous clients, said that she was ‘saddened but not shocked by news reports that he was criminally charged’.
After the Mueller report was released this past weekend, anyone thinking that the rhetoric would calm down as a result must now feel about as stupid as a ding-bat. Conservatives are SCREAMING at liberals blaming them for wasting two years on an apparent ‘non-story’ and further dividing the country in the process (…allegedly), and liberals–as per usual–aren’t listening to anyone at all. Might it possible to say that, as far as we know, Russia did try to influence the 2016 election, but that if there’s anything we do about it, yelling at each other is about the last thing on that list? The Mueller investigation was needed, given the inconsistency of that election, but now that it’s finished, and its results have proven the outrage (at least somewhat) misplaced, maybe it’s time to calm down, come together as one country, one people, and figure what’s actually going on…
Michael Avenatti is a shitty person (allegedly), Jussie Smollett proved that money does not see skin color or sexual orientation in the eyes of the law (also allegedly), Trump is again trying to repeal Obamacare (like: not allegedly?), and the Green New Deal was killed in the senate today with no Democratic votes, despite being a Democratic bill (…I got nothing).
But it all pales in comparison to the fact that YOU are wrong, and YOUR PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO KILL ME and that I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO STOP YOU DEMON-NAZI-COMMIE-HORRIBLE PEOPLE FROM DESTROYING ME AND MY ANGELIC COMRADES, and I’m going to…
It’s not ‘allegedly’ sad, it is, and that’s really all it all is, all any of this is…
It’s just sad.
