In a time when everyone seems only to care about the latest gossip (and yes, Kanye going to the white house is gossip (however satisfying it may be)) there are some out there surpassing the PR-or-die wave and doing some good. Flint Michegan’s school district tweeted last Thursday: Thank you @elonmusk and @MuskFoundation for investing in the health/future well-being FCS Students! Your generous donation will help us replace ALL water fountains w/NEW WATER STATIONS & WATER FILTRATION at ALL SCHOOLS! Looking forward to our burgeoning partnership! More to come!”

Indeed, the Tesla, SpaceX, Paypal (among more) founder/co-founder has agreed to donate $480,350 to 12 Flint schools and the district’s business administration building by January 2019, according to Michigan Live.

This a little over a month since Musk dared to smoke weed on the Joe Rogan Experience, Musk has, in the eyes of some, been a little unhinged lately, but isn’t that just a side effect of being a genius?
