Zombie_Ritual__Second_Coming Glossary (Philosophy)

This is the glossary to a novella called The Zombie Ritual_A Second Coming by r(E)volutionized founder/contributor John Corry. Book is available in the r(E)volutionized store.

Absolute absolutes- A Complex Form where the more distinct absolute is the ‘leading’ factor (perception)

absolute Absolutes- A Complex Form where the less distinct absolute is the leading factor (perception)

absolute absolutes- A Complex Form where there are no distinct absolutes involved, and is therefore something more like ‘empty space’ (or: openness?)

Absolute Absolutes- A Complex Form where all Forms and Absolutes are Absolutely defined and focused, and are considered unalterable throughout the basic formation of the Form, as well as in its practicality

Absolute Reality/Eternal Reality/Realm of the Forms (Plato)- The highest infinity, where Absolute knowledge and existence of the Forms exist, and is/are born; the place of ‘no-time’; “The realm unaffected by the vicissitudes of change and decay” (Plato, Republic, Translated by Desmond Lee, Penguin Classics, 485b)

Absolute Relativity- The idea that Relativity is the only Absolute Truth because it implies the existence of an infinite truth, or an infinite number of ‘truths’, realities or infinities; the infinity of all infinities, inhabiting of all infinities both in and out-of time; the place of ‘all-time within-and-without time’; Relatively Opposite to Plato’s Absolute Reality

#AbsoluteRelativity - A definition of the universe in which scientific observation (as definitively opposed to human perception) is the sole tool by which Being and Becoming can measure reality

Absolute Truth- The truth implying all truths/ the ‘ultimate’ truth

#ASingularDivinity - A type of ‘Ultimate overseeing Overseer’, and considers itself as such because it is both within and without time, although it is subconsciously restrained by singularities (whether notably perceived or not), while simultaneously claiming to be restrained by nothing; this contradiction being masked by an inherent physiological human genome in which human beings are subconsciously categorized as/by/for a collective, and consciously living under said ‘Ultimate Overseeing Overseer’, necessarily ignoring (for its own survival (U.O.O.)  that potential for any ‘true’ (possible) moment of spirituality/divinity to potentially be that which occurs with no-thought at ‘the moment’/‘non-moment’ between past and future, ‘in-motion’ and ‘at-rest’ (Plato, Parmenides, Translated by H.N. Fowler, Harvard University Press, 156c-157b), life and death, love within and without the in-love, etc. (see also: Hegel)

Banality of Evil (Arendt) - Regarding Adolf Eichmann in Hannah Arendt’s Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil: “It is precisely his absolute and thoughtless symbiosis with the Nazi world, its ideologies and racist norms – despicable and flagrantly immoral but nevertheless legitimate and lawful within the Nazi world, and enjoying the assent of its “moral majority” – that is the embodiment of the banality of evil.” (Ushpiz, Uda. The Grossly Misunderstood ‘Banality of Evil’ Theory. Haaretz. 10 Dec. 2016. Web. 12 May 2017. http://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/1.747080 (this article is highly recommended, by the way (btw))

The Circle of Forms - (1) The idea that all Forms go through a ‘circle’ of existence; that Plato’s Forms are more complicated than ‘simple ideas’, and encompass all aspects of the universe, defined and ‘undefined’ (defined?) through different capacities and varying mathematical equations

(2)- A more personal/emotionally-charged observation that Plato’s Forms and Absolutes simply continue around infinitely in a circle, like planets around a sun, suns around more suns, electrons around nuclei, life around death and vice-versa; the idea that no matter how deep you go into it, no matter how much you think you’re doing by going deeper into it (and you may actually be doing a lot), aside from the obvious implications (that black is black and that words are only glimpses into concepts, entities, events or ideas), Plato’s Theories of Forms and Absolutes can indeed be quite maddening and, in some cases, undesirable, and can even be potentially both Societally and Individually damaging (like, don’t go crazy, dude, that’s all I’m saying, keep it here (now))

Collective Unconscious (Jung) - “The collective unconscious–so far as we can say anything about it at all–appears to consist of mythological motifs or primordial images, for which reason the myths of all nations are its real exponents. In fact, the whole of mythology could be taken as a sort of projection of the collective unconscious... We can therefore study the collective unconscious in two ways, either in mythology or in the analysis of the individual” (Italics mine) (The Structure of the Psyche (CW. 8, par. 325))

Complex Forms- Forms which go beyond the immediate understanding of beings existing primarily in the physical realm, and which involves the existence of both Simple Forms and Absolutes/ Forms composed of more than one ‘Idea’, and are more complex than ‘simple’ Forms (Plato’s Forms)

Deconstruction (Derrida) - “Deconstruction is a name commonly associated with philosopher Jacques Derrida's critical outlook over the relationship between text and meaning.

Derrida's approach consists in conducting readings of texts with an ear to what runs counter to the structural unity or intended sense of a particular text.” (Wikipedia)

Love- Love as the Form which defies all Forms; the highest/infinite Form of the Complex Form of love (#TrueLove ), though it cannot see itself as such; the undefined balance between past and future, ‘in motion’ and ‘at rest’ (Plato, Parmenides, 156c-157b), emotion and technicality etc.; the natural ‘overseeing’ Form of love, though it does not see itself as such; the idea that all Forms, Simple or Complex, Absolute or ‘Overseeing’, are part of the same process in or out-of time, and are all equal; the Form of love which has moved beyond the restraints placed on Forms in this dimension by #Time , or in any dimesion/reality (possibly), and into Absolute Reality and, perhaps, even beyond it

#Love - Love as a Simple Form; Love ‘defined’ (Plato’s physical realm)

Maschalismos (Greek)- “The practice of physically rendering the dead incapable of rising or haunting the living in undead form. It comes from the Ancient Greek word and was also the term for procedural rules on such matters in later Greek customary law” (Wikipedia)

Overseers/Overseeing Forms- A Complex Form necessarily ‘above’, and considered above, all other Forms; a form that encompasses so many other Forms, both Simple and Complex, that it can act as a type of umbrella ‘above’ all Forms, both Simple and Complex, ‘under’ it, or: of which, it is comprised

Overseeing Overseers/Overseeing Overseeing Forms- Complex Forms considering themselves above even the ‘Overseers’ (notice that both Overseeing Forms and Overseeing Overseeing Forms are at first still considered ‘Complex’, meaning: it is the perception of these Forms which makes them ‘Overseer’ or ‘Overseeing Overseer’; in Absolute Reality, they are Forms considered just as equal as all other Forms in that specific ‘Form Reality’ (equations between Complex and Simple Forms) (for example, as perceived in this fashion, Love as a Complex Form is a little higher in the realm of infinities than Racism, because Love is more inherently open-minded and therefore potentially involves more people throughout time, racism higher than collectivism because collectivism is less open minded and more intellectually closer to being a survival-based Complex Form (‘survival-based’ in this case could be acting as an ‘Overseer’), collectivism higher than tribalism for the same reason and so on)) (these ‘Overseers’ and ‘Overseeing Overseers’, as well as the ‘Ultimate Overseeing Overseer (Singular)’, are indeed higher Complex Forms potentially closer to Absolute Reality, but which are then held back by an inherently ‘closed-minded’ human/mortal perception and appropriation) (see also: Hegel)

Personal Misguided Defamation- Destroying one’s own reputation while simultaneously thinking that one is improving it, by telling other people how to live their lives (because I know what’s good for me, it must be good for you ;D)

Politically Correct- “Conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated” (Merriam-Webster)

Politically Incorrect- “Not avoiding language or behavior that could offend a particular group of people” (Merriam-Webster)

Postmodernism- (Dictionary.com) Any number of trends or movements in the arts and literature developing in the 1970s in reaction to or rejection of the dogma, principles, or practices of established modernism, especially a movement in architecture and the decorative arts running counter to the practice and influence of the decorative arts running counter to the practice and influence of the International Style ad encouraging the use of elements from historical vernacular styles and often playful illusion, decoration and complexity

-Postmodern (Merriam-Webster)- A. Of, relating to, or being any of various movements in reaction to modernism that are typically characterized by a return to traditional materials and forms (as in architecture) or by ironic self-reliance and absurdity (as in literature). B. Of, or relating to, or being a theory that involves a radical reappraisal of modern assumptions about culture, identity, history or language

-Postmodernism (Google)- A late 20th-century style and concept in the arts, architecture and criticism that represents a departure from modernism and has at its heart a general distrust of grand theories and ideologies as well as a problematical relationship with any notion of ‘art’)

-Postmodernism (also spelled post-modernism)- (Britannica.com) In Western Philosophy, a late 20th-century characterized by broad skepticism, subjectivism, or relativism; a general suspicion of reason; and an acute sensitivity to the role of ideology in asserting and maintaining political and economic power

-Post modern- (Urban Dictionary) Incredibly shitty, awful, stupid, a complete waste of time (ex. I think post modern artwork is post modern)

Quantum Mechanics (Quantum physics, Quantum Theory)- “A branch of physics which is the fundamental theory of nature at small scales and low energies of atoms and subatomic particles. Classical physics, the physics existing before quantum mechanics, derives from quantum mechanics as an approximation valid only at large (macroscopic) scales. Quantum mechanics differs from classical physics in that energy, momentum and other quantities are often restricted to discrete values (quantization), objects have characteristics of both particles and waves (wave-particle duality), and there are limits to the precision with which quantities can be known (Uncertainty principle)” (Wikipedia)

Simple Forms- Plato’s ‘Forms’; Forms comprised of just one simple idea or thought or entity and does not require any further analysis for understanding; Forms existing in the realm directly above Plato’s physical realm (the physical realm: the realm in which we currently exist) (to reiterate in another way: as the Form becomes more ‘complex’, so the realm gets farther from ‘physical reality’, and closer to Plato’s ‘Absolute Reality’)

Spatial Dimensions vs. Realities/Infinities- Alternate ‘realities’, or ‘dimensions’, as distinct from geometrical shapes existing in two or more spatial dimensions, these ‘alternate realities/dimensions’ exist in alternate time-spheres (so: not currently observable to the living), as well as potentially higher infinities (infinities in this case I can best display with an example: 1/6th (which is an implied infinity between 1 and 2) and 1/6th of 1/6th (which is an implied infinity between 1 and 1-and-1/6th), 1/6th of 1/6th of 1/6th and so on) in which time gradually becomes less of a distinct factor as the infinities become increasingly more complex (moving higher up the ladder to Plato’s Absolute Reality (or: Relativity???)

Theory of absolute Absolutes (or: True Relative Opposites)- The idea encompassing Plato’s theories of Forms and Absolutes, the (emotional) insanity potentially begot from the ‘Circle of Forms’, and the differences between ‘being’ and ‘becoming’ (life and death, ‘at-rest’ and ‘in-motion’ (Plato’s Parmenides), etc.); basically: True Absolute Opposites (of the ‘physical realm’ (Plato)) (or: Simple Opposite), like black and white, for example, are Simple, but, if thought about with an ear towards Complexity, are part of the same process, that process (like in the case of black and white) ending with the two Forms either canceling each other out when applied practically, like in this reality, or in specific need of each other in order to exist (you cannot know what black is without having something to compare it to). A ‘True Relative Opposite’ (or: Complex Opposite) would imply a complete existential deletion of the Form in question from all realities, not just our own or from the ‘simpler’ ones - because one Form is ‘in time’ (in Plato’s physical realm), and the other is ‘out-of-time’ (in Plato’s absolute reality (or: Absolute Relativity???)), or as compared mathematically throughout all opposing existential dossiers throughout the infinite (1 is to –1 as an Absolute Opposite (simple Absolute/Simple Opposite) is as 1 is to ∞–1 or –∞–1 (or: ∞+1 or –∞+1) as a Relative Opposite (complex Absolute/Complex Opposite)). Time as an Overseeing factor must be implied (to us, right now) because nothing can exist to the mind without some type of perception, or ‘measure’, however more complicated or ‘unfocused’ (enter: the Circle of Forms) everything may get as a result (think uncertainty principle in quantum physics here) once said ‘measurement’ or perception has taken place, but this does not take place of the relationship between perception and subject, it only allocates for it to happen, or aids in it (as that relationship may aid in ‘Time’, or ‘the universe’ or ‘Existence’ or whatever)

Theory of Absolutes (Plato)- The idea that certain qualities of certain things are unchangeable, and exist eternally

Theory of Forms (Plato)- That there are certain qualities of ideas, beings, etc. which exist in and of themselves, and separate from human perception (glass is glass no matter how one goes about looking at it, manipulating it, or whether one has ever even heard of the concept of glass at all)

Time- Time ‘undefined’; ‘in and out-of time’; time as a Complex Form (and a very complex one at that) (Plato’s Absolute Reality (or, perhaps, one of the means to get there?))

#Time - Time ‘defined’; ‘focused time’; time as a Simple Form (Plato’s physical realm)

True Love- Love as a Complex Form, though not defined as such, nor even possibly accidentally considered as such; Love completely ‘undefined’ (Plato’s realm of the Forms/Absolute Reality); love as specifically not defined (this is purposefully left undeveloped here)

#TrueLove - The ‘ultimate’ Form of love defined; defined love perceived as needed for the evolution of it, or of any Form regarded within this same principle (evolution as something which can be measured ‘in-time’/‘in-the-moment’ (which it can’t be, because it happens over time)); Love inherently restrained by #Time , as though the physical realm is the ‘highest’ realm of reality, as if all other potential realities exist but are irrelevant thanks to ‘perception’

Uncertainty Principle (Heisenberg)- “Roughly speaking, the uncertainty principle (for position and momentum) states that one cannot assign exact simultaneous values to the position and momentum of a physical system. Rather, these quantities can only be determined with some characteristic “uncertainties” that cannot become arbitrarily small simultaneously” (The Uncertainty Principle. Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Oct 8 2001, Substantial Revision Jul 12 2016. Web Apr 9 2017. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/qt-uncertainty/.

Ultimate Overseeing Overseers- A Form Absolutely above, and Absolutely defined as such, all other Forms, which ignores the possibility of any other Form being equal in existential reality to it, regardless of whether or not such a Form has yet even been discovered
